1. Acceptance of these terms

By downloading, installing, or using Vamoose 開去叨 ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms form a legal agreement between you and TechnicolorLife LLC ("TechnicolorLife," "we," "us"). They are separate from, and in addition to, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which also governs your use of the App as described in Section 11 below.

2. What Vamoose is

Vamoose is a family expense tracker. It lets you record daily spending, set an optional monthly budget, group spending into trips, track fixed/recurring costs, view monthly and yearly breakdowns, and export a PDF report. It has no accounts: it uses your device's own iCloud identity, and you can invite family members so everyone shares one ledger. The App also includes optional local reminders and automatic logging of fixed costs.

3. Family sharing and iCloud

Vamoose stores your data on your device and, when iCloud is available, syncs it to your own iCloud through Apple's CloudKit. If you choose to invite a family member, Apple's iCloud sharing lets the people you invite view and edit that shared ledger. You are responsible for choosing whom you invite and for the content you share with them; anyone you add can see and change the shared ledger until you stop sharing. Syncing and sharing are provided by Apple and governed by Apple's iCloud terms. TechnicolorLife does not host, control, or have access to your data. See the Privacy Policy for details.

4. Informational tool, not financial advice

Vamoose helps you record and review your own spending. Budgets, breakdowns, amortized figures, and reports are informational summaries of the data you enter, not financial, accounting, tax, or investment advice, and they are only as accurate as what you record. The currency setting changes the displayed symbol only; the App does not perform any currency conversion or use exchange rates. Do not rely on the App as the basis for financial, tax, or legal decisions; verify important figures against your own records and official sources.

5. Eligibility and age

You must be at least 13 years old to use Vamoose. If you are under the age of 16 and live in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you represent that you have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use the App.

6. Your data

You own the data you enter into Vamoose. The App stores it on your device and, if iCloud is enabled, in your own iCloud; there is no account, no login with us, and no TechnicolorLife-hosted copy of your data. See the Privacy Policy for complete details.

7. Acceptable use

You agree to use Vamoose only for its intended purpose as a personal and family expense-tracking tool. You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the App, except to the extent applicable law expressly prohibits such restriction.
  • Copy, modify, redistribute, sublicense, sell, rent, or lease the App or any part of it.
  • Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notice.
  • Use the App in any way that violates applicable local, state, national, or international law.
  • Share a ledger with, or record another person's information without, that person's knowledge and consent.

8. Intellectual property

The App, including its design, code, graphics, text, mascot characters, logo, and all other content (except content you create), is the property of TechnicolorLife LLC and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the Apple Licensed Application EULA.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TECHNICOLORLIFE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY THAT THE APP OR ITS SYNCING, SHARING, CALCULATIONS, OR OTHER CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE, CURRENT, UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR RELIABLE. iCLOUD SYNCING AND SHARING ARE PROVIDED BY APPLE, AND WE DO NOT WARRANT THEIR AVAILABILITY OR THAT DATA WILL ALWAYS SYNC OR CONVERGE. YOU USE THE APP AT YOUR OWN RISK.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TECHNICOLORLIFE LLC AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING (WITHOUT LIMITATION) ANY LOSS OR EXPOSURE OF DATA ARISING FROM iCLOUD SYNCING OR SHARING, OR ANY FINANCIAL DECISION MADE IN RELIANCE ON FIGURES SHOWN IN THE APP, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, AND WHETHER OR NOT TECHNICOLORLIFE HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages; in those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

11. Apple EULA and App Store

The App is distributed through Apple's App Store. Your use of the App is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Apple is not a party to these Terms, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App, and is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the Apple EULA with respect to your use of the App, the Apple EULA governs to the extent of the conflict.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TechnicolorLife LLC and its owners, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use or misuse of the App; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any law or the rights of a third party, including any person whose information you record or with whom you share a ledger.

13. Export compliance

You agree to comply with all U.S. and foreign export laws and regulations to ensure that neither the App nor any technical data related to it is exported or re-exported directly or indirectly in violation of, or used for any purposes prohibited by, such laws and regulations.

14. Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Apple Licensed Application EULA, constitute the entire agreement between you and TechnicolorLife regarding the App and supersede any prior agreements between you and TechnicolorLife relating to the App.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms over time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will give you clear notice in the App or on technicolorlife.app before they take effect. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
