At a glance

  • Built for kids, built to collect nothing personal. Country Learning Game has no account, no login, no chat, no ads, no in-app purchases, and no way to enter personal information anywhere in the app.
  • Game progress stays on the device. Stars, passport stamps, levels, and settings are stored locally on the device. TechnicolorLife LLC has no servers that hold your child's progress and no way to read it.
  • Gameplay works fully offline. All 196 countries, maps, flags, and sounds are bundled inside the app. No internet connection is needed to play.
  • Pronunciation happens on the device. The "speak the country name" feature uses Apple's built-in text-to-speech. Nothing is recorded and no audio leaves the device.
  • Analytics are anonymous and minimal. We use TelemetryDeck to count basic, anonymous usage events (such as "a quiz was completed") so we can improve the app. No personal data, no names, no precise identifiers, and no content your child creates is ever sent.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share any information. Not with advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else. Ever.

1. Who this policy is from

Country Learning Game (世界國家大冒險, "the App") is made by TechnicolorLife LLC ("we," "us," or "TechnicolorLife"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, how it is handled, and what your rights are. Because the App is designed for children, this policy is written for the parents and guardians who decide whether a child may use it.

2. What Country Learning Game is

Country Learning Game is a geography learning game for children roughly ages 6–12. Kids explore all 196 countries on an interactive 3D globe, play flag quizzes, find countries on the map, match capitals, and collect passport stamps. The App is fully playable offline, contains no advertising, no in-app purchases, and no social or communication features.

3. Information the App handles

Below is every category of data the App handles and where it lives. The App provides no text fields, no photo upload, no microphone access, and no way for a child to enter personal information.

3.1 Game progress and settings (stored on the device only)

The App saves game progress — stars earned, passport stamps collected, player level, language preference, map style, and sound/vibration settings — in a small file inside the App's private storage on the device. This data never leaves the device, is not backed up to any TechnicolorLife server, and is removed by iOS when the App is uninstalled. There is no account and no profile; progress belongs to the device, not to an identity.

3.2 Text-to-speech (on device)

When a child taps the speaker button, the App uses Apple's built-in speech synthesis to pronounce the country's name in Chinese and English. This happens entirely on the device. The App does not use the microphone, does not record audio, and sends nothing to any server for this feature.

3.3 Anonymous analytics (TelemetryDeck)

The App uses TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand in aggregate how the App is used — for example, how many quiz sessions are completed or which game mode is most popular. TelemetryDeck is designed to contain no personal data: identifiers are irreversibly hashed on the device before anything is sent, no advertising identifier (IDFA) is used, and TechnicolorLife cannot identify any individual user or device from these signals.

The only signals the App sends are basic events such as "app launched," "quiz completed (mode, difficulty, score)," "level reached," "map style changed," and "language changed." We never send names, contact details, location, free text, audio, or any content from the device. Signals are transmitted over HTTPS and processed by TelemetryDeck in the European Union. If the device is offline, the game simply plays without sending anything.

3.4 Nothing else

The App does not collect or request: name, email, phone number, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, precise or coarse location, advertising identifiers, health data, or browsing history. The App contains no third-party advertising SDKs and no social media integrations.

4. Children's privacy (COPPA and similar laws)

Country Learning Game is designed for children, and we built it to comply with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the GDPR's provisions on children's data, and Apple's Kids Category requirements:

  • The App does not collect personal information from children as defined by COPPA. There is no registration, no persistent personal identifier usable to recontact a child, and no behavioral advertising of any kind.
  • The analytics described in Section 3.3 are limited to anonymous, aggregated usage counts, using identifiers that are hashed on the device and cannot reasonably be linked to a child, which is permitted under COPPA's "support for internal operations" provision.
  • The App shows no advertising and contains no links out of the app, no in-app purchases, and no communication features.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe we have inadvertently received personal information about a child, contact us at privacy@technicolorlife.app and we will delete it promptly.

5. How information is used

  • To save and display your child's game progress on the device.
  • To remember language, map style, sound, and vibration preferences.
  • To understand, in aggregate and anonymously via TelemetryDeck, which features are used so we can improve the App.

We do not use any data for advertising, profiling, training machine learning models, selling to third parties, or any purpose beyond what is described in this policy.

6. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction where GDPR or an equivalent law applies, the legal bases for processing are:

  • Performance of a contract — storing game progress locally so the App can function.
  • Legitimate interests — minimal, anonymous, aggregated usage analytics. We have assessed that the de-identified nature of TelemetryDeck signals is not outweighed by users' privacy interests; you can opt out by blocking telemetrydeck.com on your network or playing offline.

7. Your rights

Because the App keeps everything on the device, most rights are exercised directly without contacting us:

  • Right to access — open the App; all progress is visible in My Passport.
  • Right to erasure — uninstall the App and iOS deletes all locally stored progress and settings.
  • Right to object / opt out of analytics — play offline or block telemetrydeck.com at the network level; the game is fully functional without any connection.
  • Right to lodge a complaint — if you believe we have handled data improperly, you may contact your local data protection authority.

8. California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

TechnicolorLife does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA, and does not collect personal information through this App. There is nothing to opt out of because nothing is collected, sold, or shared for advertising or profiling.

9. Security

  • Progress data is stored in iOS's encrypted application sandbox and benefits from device-level encryption when a passcode is set.
  • Analytics signals are transmitted over HTTPS/TLS and contain no personal data by design.
  • There is no TechnicolorLife server holding user data, which removes the most common breach risk entirely.

10. International data transfer

Game data never leaves the device, so there is no cross-border transfer of your child's progress. Anonymous TelemetryDeck signals are processed in the European Union; see their privacy policy for details.

11. Data retention

Game progress stays on the device until the App is uninstalled or you reset it. TelemetryDeck retains anonymous signals according to its own retention policy, and those signals cannot be tied back to any individual.

12. App Tracking Transparency

The App does not track anyone across apps or websites owned by other companies, does not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA), and does not integrate any advertising SDK. No App Tracking Transparency prompt is needed because no tracking occurs.

13. Third-party services

  • TelemetryDeck — anonymous, aggregated usage analytics. See their privacy policy.

We have no other third-party processors. We do not use advertising, marketing automation, or social SDKs.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy over time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If we make material changes — especially any change to what data is handled — we will give clear notice on technicolorlife.app before they take effect.
